Water for Life Projects

Water is the driving force of all nature- Leonardo da Vinci

According to recent statistics, 1 in 10 people lack access to clean water. AMSCOT is on a mission to change that. Majority of people without access live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect water for their family. Not only does walking for water keep children out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick. However, access to clean water means education, income and health – especially for women and children who are most vulnerable. To date, AMSCOT has managed to drill 4 boreholes, achieving 18 million litres of clean water per year. The target is to drill up to 10 boreholes, to supply 45 million litres of clean water by the year 2030.
